At Vuori we strive to be in great relationships and to live extraordinary lives. We are proud to say that our Collaborators embody those values to the core. Livvy Dunne is an LSU and All American gymnast who joined the Vuori family in September of 2021. We are endlessly inspired by her athletic prowess, determination, and positivity and we are excited to share this opportunity to get to know her a little better. Read below to learn more about some of her proudest moments in the world of gymnastics and how she stays inspired and continues to inspire those around her.
When did you first fall in love with Gymnastics?
Livvy: I first fell in love with Gymnastics when I was 3 years old. I always wanted a pink sparkly leotard and my mom said that I could only get one if I did gymnastics.
How do you stay inspired to continue working your hardest at what you do?
Livvy: Usually to stay inspired and to keep going I think back to my why. Why I do things, why I wake up every morning and go to the gym, why I still love the sport so just reminding myself of that why really keeps things in perspective.
What is your why?
Livvy: My Why is to make the little girl that I once was proud because I've just always loved the sport and I want to do the best at everything I do.
How does it feel when you see other little girls that get excited seeing you do what you do?
Livvy: It feels surreal! I don't quite get it because I don't see myself as the celebrity that some would call me but I do try my best to inspire young girls every day.
Who inspired you the most when you were first starting out?
Livvy: My role model growing up was Nastia Liukin, she won the Olympics in 2008. She is just so nice to everyone, she was nice to me, she is nice to her fans and she was just an amazing gymnast.
What is the most epic memory or accomplishment you’ve had doing Gymnastics?
Livvy: One of my best memories of doing gymnastics was when I made the US national team in 2017. I was able to represent the US in Italy two times.
What has been a challenge for you?
Livvy: Right now I train 20 hours a week. It took time to find a balance - work, school, gymnastics. It's a lot of pressure if you make it a lot of pressure, but I usually try to find a way to have fun with it.
What are some ways that you invest in your own happiness?
Livvy: Some ways that I invest in my own happiness is by making time for and going to the beach. The beach is my favorite place because it's just so relaxing, I love the ocean, and I really find myself there.
What is your go-to Vuori outfit?
Livvy: My go-to Vuori outfit is any of the biker shorts and the Halo crop tank.
